Varicose veins are one of the most common conditions of venous disease in the legs. According to the American Society for Vascular Surgery, at least 25 million Americans have varicose or spider veins. In fact, more people are unable to work due to vein disorders than due to arterial disease. (Vascular Disease Foundation Newsletter, Spring 2005).
Varicosities are enlarged, twisted, swollen veins which may be located anywhere in the body. Most commonly they are found on the legs (varicose veins) or the anus (hemorrhoids).
The risk of developing primary varicose veins is frequently associated with female gender, pregnancy, heredity, excess weight, and some professions requiring prolonged periods of standing or sitting may increase the risk of developing a chronic venous disease of the leg. Common symptoms are ankle and leg swelling, heaviness or fullness, aching, restlessness, fatigue, pain, cramps and itching.
The word “varicose” comes from the Latin word “varix”, meaning “twisted”. Varicose veins are enlarged, twisted veins that are usually bluish purple. Small, one-way valves in veins ensure blood only flows towards the heart. In some people, these valves become weakened and blood collects or "pools" in the veins, causing them to abnormally enlarge or dialate. Varicose veins are most common on the legs, because leg veins must work against gravity. Standing increases pressure on leg veins.
The Varicose/Spider Vein Formula contains specific herbals that actually constrict the vein wall where it has dialated, causing the blood to "pool" in those veinous areas. This dialation has also occurred from partial weakening of the valves that keep blood moving back up to the heart. This formula also contains herbals that stimulate "new growth" at the cellular level which increases elasticity in the vein walls and surronding tissue.
We've heard tremendous testimonies from customers regarding the reduction and clearing of varicose/spider veins afer years of existence and we give GOD all the Glory.
